Math Touch Book - AmigaOS 3.x
A math notebook you write with the finger... or the mouse.
Write equations, functions and inequations in the pages of a notebook,
then transform them: touch an element and keep touching it one second,
and a menu opens with all the operations possible on that element.
Each operation adds a line under the element, so the steps of your work
stay written, as on paper.
- Simplify, develop, factorise, isolate, separate, replace, prime
numbers, synthetic division.
- Resolve equations, with the steps, up to three solutions.
- Derivatives, antiderivatives, integrals.
- Graphs of functions with several layers, surfaces f(x,y,z)=0,
animated graphs.
- Export to LaTeX, C, GLSL or Java functions, text clipboard, images.
Math Touch Book was first a responsive design interface experience for
multitouch screens, done in 2016 for Android and iOS. In 2026 it was
ported to AmigaOS 3 with ogles2.library: the same engine, everything is
drawn with OpenGL ES 2, and the mouse plays the role of the finger.
The full version: unlimited pages, export and share, no "pay to unlock"
anything.
Requirements:
- AmigaOS 3.1 or later.
- a 68060 class CPU with FPU.
- a working ogles2.library 1.3 or later:
https://github.com/ladislawv/ogles2/releases
Developed and tested on a PiStorm with a Raspberry Pi 4 or CM4,
running Emu68: there, the shader compiler v3dglslc is also needed in
LIBS: (in the ogles2 archive). The first start compiles the shaders.
Any other configuration that implements ogles2.library may work.
- an RTG system (Picasso96 or CyberGraphX) with a 24 or 32 bit
truecolor screen mode.
- (optional) AHI and mpega.library, for the sound.
- (optional) openurl.library, for the web links.
Window or full screen, switch at any time with F10 or Alt+Return.
Amiga+Z / Amiga+Y undo and redo. Amiga+Q to quit.
Your pages are saved in the drawer MTBData beside the program.
Read MathTouchBook.guide for the options (icon tooltypes), the interface
and the mathematical features.
Known bugs: after the last release of the original application, some
bugs were found, and the resolution of an equation sometimes fails.
It may be corrected in the future.

are not free to use in other programs.
