AminetFileRequester is a Aminet recent mail and Aminet search tool.
It was mainly designed, because I'm a very lazy person and
wanted a program that downloads, checks and unpacks Aminet files
automatically. But I didn't find one that fit my needs, so I wrote
AminetFileRequester.
Features:
- comfortable and easy to use MUI gui
- mailer independent through the use of rexx scripts (script for YAM is
included, MD-II is planned)
- you can download files directly without the use of 3rd party programs
- you can request recent files via ftp-mail (supported is sending the
request mail while you're online or exporting it to your mailer)
- auto offline function
- virus check of received files through xvs.library
- auto extraction of received files
- powerful searching functions:
- search for files in recent mails or on Aminet
- detects Message-of-the-Day in recent mails
- you can view readme files of uploads without getting the uploads
- very configurable
- fast and cheap
- and many many more things you have to find out yourself.... :-)
Requierements:
- MUI
- a Miami compatible TCP/IP stack
- an email program (scripts for YAM included)
- a subscribtion to the "Todays recent aminet uploads" or "Weekly recent
aminet uploads" list. If you are not already subscribed then send a mail
to "listproc@mail.wustl.edu" and in the body "SUBSCRIBE aminet-daily
<your emailaddress>" for the daily list or "SUBSCRIBE aminet-weekly
<your emailaddress>" for the weekly list. You will then get every day
or every week a list with all aminet uploads. Cool, isn't it?
