purpose:

I want to search the aminet CDs and have a quick look at the readmes.
But I don't want to change a lot of CDs until I find the prog I am looking for.
So SACDS copies all readme to disc (need 210 MB)
(I have 100 GB Disc space, so 210 MB will probably fit ;-)

Ich will die Aminet CDs durchsuchen und ggf. die readme lesen.
Aber dafür will ich nicht jedesmal die CD tauschen.
(Ich ertappe mich dabei, dass ich so faul bin, daas ich lieber online gehe
statt die CDs zu wechseln ...)
Darum habe ich SACDS geschrieben, welches die readme files alle auf Platte kopiert.
Das sind 210 MB. Aber was ist das schon, wenn ich insgesamt 100 GB habe?

usage:  
------
create two dirs: INDEX and README
Start SACDS from shell without options or wb
version : short description length limited or long (org)
Use pop-request for path where the README dir is located
Use pop-request for path where the INDEX dir is located
the slider will only take effect when saving a new CD
positionate it like the CD number
(put it to 45 when saving Aminet CD 45 etc.)

Erstelle zwei Verzeichnisse: README und INDEX
Starte SACDS von der shell ohne optionen oder von WB
Unter Version ist einzustellen welche Variante der Kurzbeschreibung man bevorzugt.
Die kurze (short) hat eine Längenbegrenzung. 
Ich weiss nicht wer oder wofür man die braucht, aber man jedenfalls die Möglichkeit dazu.
Die lange (long) version ist sinnvoller, da im Moment nur in der Kurzbeschreibung gesucht wird.
Als nächstes die Pfade der Verzeichnisse angeben.
(Also auch kein Problem, wenn man diese mal woandershin verschiebt.)
Der slider ist so einzustellen, dass er die Nummer der Aminet CD angibt.
(Er ist nur relevant beim speichern)

future:

autodetect what CD is inserted and making the slider obsolete
nice icons (any ideas? mail them to me)
improvement of the stack usage
makes it faster (maybe ppc)
full text search in the readmes

Automatische Erkennung der Aminet CD, so dass der slider überflüssig wird.
Wenn jemand ein schönes icon findet oder malt, darf es mir zuschicken.
Da dies ein schneller Hack ist, wird der Stackbedarf noch optimiert.
Die Suche (CD4-CD45) benötigt im Moment 25 sekunden, (da ist doch was zu machen ..)
suche auch in den Readme files
