A mosaic in St. Mark's Basilica, Venice.
The whole of the interior of St. Mark's is covered in a riot of golden
mosaics, ranging from 11th-century Byzantine works to rather dull 19th century
pieces. I don't know how old this one is, but I'd say it's somewhere in the
middle - it looks vaguely late medieval.
