Notes:
1. This player correctly plays TFMX Pro modules only!!! For TFMX 1.x songs
use the TFMX player (mus/play/EP_TFMX.lha). Original TFMX Pro modules
(from games) are always recognized correctly, but on the Internet (on
Exotica for example) there are some songs from the Soundfactory CD. Don't
use these songs with this player, because some mdat files are damaged and
all TFMX 1.x, Pro, and 7V songs on this CD are packed ("stripped"), while
original TFMX 1.x songs (for example "Turrican I" songs) never use the
packed format.
2. This version of the TFMX Pro player is configurable via the EP player
manager. You can set replay type as:
- VBI wait (default)
- DMA wait
- external
The configuration will be saved to the "EnvArc:EaglePlayer/" and/or
"Configs/" directories. If none of these directories exist then
the configuration can not be saved.
3. Default file prefixes for:
songdata - MDAT. (for example: MDAT.MonkeyIsland)
samples - SMPL. (for example: SMPL.MonkeyIsland)
replay - TFMX. (for example: TFMX.MonkeyIsland)
BTW. You can use also "tfmx.obj" for external replay name.
4. External "tfmx.obj" routines are not compatible and if you use the wrong
routine for the wrong module then the module might play badly or even
crash your Amiga!!!
5. The fixed version of EP's 1.54 ModuleInfo can handle a position counter
of up to 999 positions (the original version is limited to 255 positions
only).
6. ModuleInfo works/looks better for EaglePlayer 1.54 because EaglePlayer
2.00+ doesn't refresh the ModuleInfo screen.
7. Only for EP 1.54 users: (still the best Amiga modules player ever :-) )
"List of Samples" and "Number of Samples" are actually "List of
Instruments" and "Number of Instruments".
8. For ripping sample files with the attached ripper the data file (mdat),
sample file (smpl), and initialized (!!!) replay file (tfmx.obj) must all
be stored inside the loaded file (which should be a file containing Chip
RAM that was saved to disk). You can save Chip RAM with Action Replay,
WHDload, JST, ChipSaver, Exotic Ripper, Thrill Kill, HrtMon or some other
Amiga monitor. Also, remember that sometimes more than one mdat file
exists inside saved Chip RAM (for example in the game "Apidya 2"). You
have to choose the right one or save all available mdat files if you want
to rip the correct smpl file. Besides, sometimes more than one initialized
replay exists inside saved Chip RAM. Then you have to clear the first
replay if wrong samples are saved. Also note that in "Pass 2" mode you
can rip some protected (without header) TFMX modules, for example
"Hard'N'Heavy" songs, the "Turrican 2" loading tune and the "Apidya"
loading tune.
9. You can also listen to SFX songs with this "TFMX Pro" player, but only
if normal songs don't exist.
10. You can get the latest versions of Wanted Team products from:
