Transient sez:
"Transient" is an electronic music group which specialises in techno and
house/dance tracks, yet also journeys into the fields of drum'n'bass/jungle
and the more pure, hard-edged forms of trance, goa and acid.
At present, we have three members: phia, Zee and Naf. We're always on the
lookout for more, so if you'd like to join, simply get in touch with us at
one of the above addresses.
phia sez:
If you haven't read it before, as of this release Homer j is no longer with
Transient. He has left for other ventures and has also left us with some
great tunes for this album. I consider it to be some of his best work and it
seems a nice parting gift almost.
I think it's indicative of Homer's involvement with Transient from day one,
that he should be putting so much time and effort into his final release.
Enjoy your future, Homer j. =)
Although Homer is gone, Transient lives on. A few people have been saying
that my style has become more defined and "clinical" (ok?) and i contribute
this to having worked so closely with Homer and learning an awful lot from
him in all aspects of tracking.
After discussions with the rest of the Transient "cru" (hi luNix =P) i have
taken over Homer's old role of all-round group leader, although i hate the
notion that Transient has one single "leader". After all, we contribute
equally, so we all lead Transient in someway.
Now, down to the release info.
I'm not big on writing lots of information for releases, so i'll just do a
little bit about the fact that all these songs were written in four tracks
using nothing other than... well... you can check the equipment list below
for yourself.
About copyright. Well the same deal goes for this album too. As Homer wrote
in the first album's ("Visions") release text:
[Anyone can remix, rehash, rip, use, hack, and play these songs anywhere,
anytime, with anything that they want to. The only little rule is that you
should credit "Homer j", "phia" or "Transient" as the original author/s of
the songs/samples that you use.
If you do remix any of these tunes, it would be nice if you could send a
copy of whatever you come up with to one of the above addresses. Thanks.]
And yes. This album is being pressed to a CD. Along with some nice photo
work on the cover from a friend of ours, it should be a rather neat looking
(and sounding) package.
We're not going to dominate the market or anything, but i'd like to remind
people of a little phrase Homer wrote in the "Visions" readme file:
"If we sell some copies, great. If we don't, who cares? This was, is and
always will be a fun project. However, a little bit of professionalism never
hurt anyone."
More info on the CD soon.

Ok. That bit was ripped. :)

If you intend on distributing this archive around, could you ensure that all
