PROGRAMS USING THE FILES
- Personal Paint from version 7.+
MAIN APPLICATION
- Using Personal Paint 7.+ in conjunction with PPaint's SaveAnimGIf.pprx
INSTALLATION
- Copy 'WebAnimDesigner.pprx' to PPaint:Rexx
DESCRIPTION
- WebAnimDesigner is a simulator of what you would get if you saved your current
animation as an animated gif using various settings of transparency, dispose,
etc.
and one of three optimizations--no optimization (all frames same size),
boundaries
optimization (animated objects on clean fields are tightly framed, so frame
size
and position will vary from frame to frame), and deltas optimization (any
animation
where background is relatively constant-after the first frame, the frames are
made
out of deltas).
-As a bonus, Cloanto's SaveAnimGIf is incorporated into the script, modified so
it
1) accepts info from the WAD requester and directly from the animation (instead
of
generating its own requester) and 2)so it allows the setting of transparency
and
dispose in all possible ways.(Thanx to Oscar Sillani of Cloanto for info.) This
means that instead of 1 way of saving in boundaries optimized, and 1 way of
saving
in deltas optimization, each can be saved in 4 ways. With the addition of
no-optimization, technically there are 12 ways of saving your animation to
animated
gif, instead of 2 ways provided by the original SaveAnimGif.pprx.
-The purpose of WAD is to enable the more advanced animaed gif designer, to
implement exotic combinations of dispose, transparency, and optimization, in
order
to achieve maximum effects for minimum filesize.
-SEE THE HTML GUIDE THAT IS PART OF THE PPRX_WAD.LHA ARCHIVES BEGINNING WITH
VERSION
1.2 , FOR MORE INFORMATION
REVISION HISTORY:
-version 1.2 ---fixed loop problem (was running only once) so when saved loops
infinitely---Loops can be explicitly set----HTML GUIDE CREATED
-version 1.1 --further improved the requester panel to suit the way it would be
used
-version 1.0 --the way it is used is figured out, and reflected in a new
requester
design
-versions before 1.0 explore the practical aspects of operation, and also
contained
a few problems.
