This archive contains a small fix for the GVP IO Extender preferences
program that hangs on screens of a higher screen depth. The hang is caused
by a very simple "out of bounds" check for the pen allocation routine.
How to apply the patch:
o) Download and extract the archive to ram:
o) Open a shell.
o) Copy the "GVPSerial" program to ram: using the shell
copy SYS:Prefs/GVPSerial to ram:
o) Enter the following command in the shell
ram:spatch -oram:GVPSerial.new -pram:GVPSerial.pch RAM:GVPSerial
o) Copy the patched program back to sys:Prefs:
copy RAM:GVPSerial.new to SYS:Prefs/GVPSerial
