Introduction
~~~~~~~~~~~~
MM_MegaStat is an Area Statistics  script  for  MailManager.  That  is,  it
generates messages like these:

PRODUCT HISTORY:

0.14  - Public Release     (28/10/98)

Now reports:
 Number of messages with no tear line.
 Total percentage of quoted text over all messages parsed.

New  Misc Stats box.  Add "#MISCSTATS Yes" to the config file, and there is
a matching command line option NoMiscStats which can be used to temporarily
disable it.  The new statistics which are reported in it are:
 Largest PATH:
 Largest SEEN-BY:
 Various 'number of lines' stats.

Fixed a bug with the Quoter stats.

Looks up node address in message poster stats, so  that  we  can  highlight
anyone who isn't listed.

New config item: #POSTERPOINTS.   Works with the new node  address  look-up
in  the  poster  stats.  If  set to yes, we don't look up the boss node but
instead try to look for the address verbatim - even if it's a point.

Item number (leftmost columns) now work okay with  >  2  character  numbers
(like I said previously, LandNet is one hell of a place).

New command line option - TOTAL (keyword option, i.e. you must use TOTAL=50
on in the arguments). This overrides the #TOTAL option in the configuration
file.

The program didn't handle 4 figure values correctly, fixed.  (Thousands  of
message a week? Freq LANDNET from 2:442/108!  It's worth your time!)
Document bug: I called an insertion sort a bubble sort!
The tear stats can now be set to reflect the actual software  in  use.  The
new  configuration option to use is #USETEARSW (Yes/No), and must be use in
conjunction with #TEARSTATS. Another unique MM_MegaStat feature? :-)

0.12  - Public release       (3/9/97)

MAJOR new feature added :  multiple areas support.  Create statistics for a
range  of areas.  (For details, check the documentation on the command line
option AREA - it has changed function slightly).

0.11  - Public release       (1/9/97)

Minor  cosmetic  changes, and some minor speed enhancements.  Documentation
has been cleaned up a little too.  New command line option : EXPORT

0.10  - Public release      (29/7/97)

The new kludges statistics in the header have been refined, and you can now
disable   them   in   the  configuration  file  or  by  the  command  line.
(#SMALLHEADER  in config, SMALLHEADER for CLI).  Also fixed a documentation
bug - the date in the history section for the 0.9 release was wrong.

0.9   - Public release      (27/7/97)

Many  small  alterations and the command line options were enhanced quite a
bit.

Changed  "EchoMail  Origins" to "EchoMail Originators" (suggested by Tomasz
Nidecki)
The  time  graph  is  much  clearer  to read, as it now uses a more dynamic
display method (i.e., it can display on ranges of upto 100% or 50% now).
A  new  command  line  option  is  available - SINCELAST (suggested by Dave
Naylor)

0.7ß2 - Public release      (15/3/97)

The time graph has been made a little neater, and although I've got  a  few
optimisations to do for speed it seems okay. I also decided to release this
on the unsuspecting public =] A compressed version is  also  supplied  from
now on (using CompressRexx 2.1 by Robert Hofmann.)
