Type: util/blank
Version: 1.1
Requires: OS 3.x, CyberGraphX, Garshneblanker V3.6
Architecture: m68k-amigaos

'Vesa' is--just as the name implies--a blanker to enable power-save mode
on modern monitors. It uses CyberGraphX's call CVideoCtrlTags() so you
need CGfx installed to get anywhere (and apparently a graphics card).
And of course Garshneblanker itself.

One change since version 1.0: time unit is now minute instead of
seconds. So, remember to update your preferences settings if
you don't want to wait 60 times longer ;-)

To install it copy files Vesa, Vesa.ifc, and Vesa.txt to the blanker
directory and restart GBlanker to see your new blanker (if the blanker
list isn't updated automatically). The blanker is compiled using
normal options, so it should work on every Amiga (but I cannot test
it on other configurations). Therefore the source is included.
Please note that I have used SAS/C to compile it, I don't know how
easily this actually compiles using other compilers.

You can control times from Prefs-window, using three sliders:
    - how long the blanking is just a black screen (i.e. no power-saving)
    - how long in standby-mode
    - how long in suspend-mode

When the suspend mode ends, monitor is turned off (and it probably
indicates that somehow, e.g. changing some LED's colour or state).

Also note that the times are added, i.e. with default values (1 min,
1 min, and 1 min) the normal blanking lasts one minute, after that the
following minute will be in standby-mode and the next in suspend-mode.
And when suspend-mode ends, you'll enter into off-mode (depending on the
monitor, some of these modes may actually be the same).
